Land Clearing, Done Properly

At The Top Tree Service Corp clears land across Suffolk County: building lots for contractors, overgrown back acres for homeowners, fence lines, pool and addition footprints, and the strip along the road the town wants cut back. We take out the trees, grind or pull the stumps, clear the brush, and haul it all, so what's left is ground you can build on or seed.

How It Works

• Site walk with you (or the builder) and a written scope: what goes, what stays, what happens to the material, when.
• Permits: clearing limits apply in parts of Brookhaven Town and the Central Pine Barrens, and wetlands setbacks apply near the bays and creeks. We'll flag it; the permit is the owner's, and we don't clear past what's approved.
• Trees down, stumps ground or pulled, brush chipped. Material hauled, chipped on site for mulch, or logs stacked for firewood if you want them.
• Rough grade raked clean. Topsoil and seed on request.

What we clear

• Building lots: full clear to the survey stakes, stumps pulled, ready for the excavator. We work with your builder's schedule and stay off the trees the plan says to keep.
• Selective clearing: thin a wooded lot to open views, light and air while keeping the good oaks and hollies; pine barrens lots especially.
• Brush and overgrowth: bittersweet, multiflora rose, bamboo, phragmites, the privet hedge that ate the side yard. Cut, grubbed where needed so it doesn't come straight back, chipped and hauled.
• Shrub and hedge removal: old foundation plantings, dead arborvitae rows, Leyland screens, roots and all.
• Fence lines and property edges: cleared and cut back so the fence can go in straight.
• Storm debris: downed trees and brush piles after a storm, cleared and chipped.
